Art Talk: Contentious Nude in Canadian Art (with John Di Leonardo)

Thursday April 18 7pm

The nude has been one of the more challenging images in the history of Canadian art, its depiction has seldom been objective, it has always been a refection of the cultural and religious attitudes of its time.

Join John Di Leonardo in an hour-ling discussion and visual presentation of their controversial theme.

Explore why we as Canadians still feel uncomfortable with the subject and why the nude has played an important role in the evolution of contemporary Canadian art in the early part of the 20th century.

Art talks run approximately one hour
