Celebrate Young Whitby Artists at Art Attack

In partnership with the Town of Whitby Youth Council, SG is hosting Art Attack on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m.

Now in its second year, Art Attack showcases and celebrates the creativity of Whitby artists ages 12 – 18 in a variety of mediums, such as painting, drawing, photography and more.

Art Attack happens during National Youth Week, which runs May 1 – 7 and features lots of great events around town for youth to take part in.

From the work on display at Art Attack, SG will select 10 – 15 pieces that will be exhibited in the yourSpace community gallery from July 16 – September 4, 2016. Also, be sure to stop by the Central branch of the Whitby Public Library from May 6 – 31. Pieces created by youth in SG’s Art Journals class with Artist Instructor Sarah Lapp will be on display, in partnership with the Town of Whitby Ethno-cultural and Diversity Advisory Committee.

SG is proud to work with the Town of Whitby Youth Council and we hope you’ll join us on May 5 to celebrate young artists in our community.
