July 8 – September 3, 2017
Reception: Thursday, July 13 at 7:00PM
It’s been seven years in the making–artist and illustrator David Wysotski has meticulously crafted over forty paintings exploring our fleeting ownership of vintage hand tools. It’s an impressive body of paintings with meaningful resonance–the entire suite was made on-site at the gallery. Every Monday, the gallery hosts Open Studio in the downstairs studios; a safe, positive, free-of-charge workspace for local artists and art enthusiasts. David’s associations weave together with the gallery, long before he began regularly creating in Open Studio. In the summer of 2017, we uncover David’s long-awaited series and celebrate an exceptional regional talent in our midst.
David Wysotski graduated from Queen’s University’s Fine Arts program, specializing in printmaking. He furthered his education at the Ontario College of Art with a Diploma in Communication and Design. For the last two decades, David’s artwork has been published in textbooks, fiction and non-fiction books, ads, merchandise, murals, magazines and posters.
