September 8 – October 7, 2018
in the Jill Dyall Community Gallery
Opening reception: Thursday, September 13, 7pm
September is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) month in Canada.
Peterborough-based artist Michael Vahey explains: “Since I was diagnosed with DMD, I have turned to art as my career path. Art is something I can do, despite my physical limitations. I don’t allow my limitations to inhibit me from creating.”
Vahey is a recent graduate of Durham College. His solo show focuses on rusticated scenes celebrating a bygone glory of the automotive age.
