Steve Kean: Moving Landscapes

Steve Kean: Moving Landscapes

June 3 – July 2
On display in the Jill Dyall Community Gallery
Reception: Saturday, June 3 at 1PM

SG is honoured to mark Spina Bifida Awareness Month with a coinciding exhibition that welcomes back 2016 exhibiting artist, Steve Kean. This Toronto-based photographer seeks to capture moments on the move in his latest on-going series, Moving Landscapes, created on an iPhone from moving intercity buses and trains. He says, “As the world moved passed me at great speeds, I was struck by the stark intrusion of manmade objects on the land…The works in this exhibition are an allegory for what happens when the processes in nature are rushed and corners are cut.”

Station Gallery gratefully acknowledges the financial support of Dyall Hutton Family Fund at Durham Community Foundation.
