Artist’s Talk followed by reception: Saturday, September 13 @ 1 PM
Curator’s walk & talk: Thursday, September 18 @ 7PM

Tracey-Mae Chambers creates works associated with her Métis ancestry. This exhibition will feature a large number of sculptures of women’s torsos which Chambers has made from maché and then painted with bee’s wax. These women have donated their ‘shape’ to the exhibition and they will be grouped together and address our perceptions of body image.  “I am a work in progress both as a native artist and as a person.” The artist elaborates:  “My work has evolved over the last few years from non-representational abstract to encaustic and sculpture.  I have been honing my skills and developing my strategy.”
